The title compound C26H28N2O4S is a derivative of 2-amino-3-N-o-tolyl carboxamide-4,5-dimethyl thiophene which possess antibacterial, antifungal activities. The compound was crystallised from Di-methyl formamide and ethanol by slow evaporation method at room temperature. After 5 days yellowish crystals were obtained. The space group was determined as p-1 in the triclinic system with lattice parameters a=8.7346A^o,b= 10.1872 A^o c=14.2533 A^o a= 70.790^o b=76.059^o, g=78.143^o, with number of atoms per unit cell z=2 density calculated= 1.28Mg/m³ volume=1151.31A^o3. The structure was determined by direct methods using SHELXS97 and refined to a final R-value 6.27 by full matrix least square method. The compound was also confirmed by its spectral data like IR and NMR.
